Do It for the ‘Gram: The Top Instagrammable Spots in Illinois

Summer vacation planning is in full gear at our house and let’s face it, we can’t always head out to far-flung destinations. But, we have some pretty stellar attractions right in our own backyard. If you’re looking for Illinois’ most instagrammable hot spots, lucky for you, the Illinois tourism office combed through hundreds of spots to find the 20 “most instagrammable spots in Illinois” which included everything from Chicago’s “Cloud Gate” otherwise known as “The Bean” to other historical landmarks that would make for a fun and grammable road trip including Cave-in-Rock State Park, the Route 66 Mural and the Chicago Botanic Garden. “We know based on our research visitors want to explore off-the-beaten-path destinations and enjoy new experiences when they travel,” said Jan Kemmerling, Acting Director of the Illinois Office of Tourism. “We’re excited to promote our new Instagram-worthy trip ideas to encourage visitors to plan a weekend getaway and share their travel experiences on social media with #EnjoyIllinois.” Check out the spots you should visit this summer for the ‘gram!  Read more click here
